Saad Farooq

Part researcher, part developer... full geek

Graduate researcher in computer science at Tufts University with an emphasis on the development of tools for the advancement of education in developing economies.

Worked on the development of Finch Dreams , a rewrite of the Alice visual programming environment that allows control of the Finch educational robot.

Also developed the inaugural Android app for NoQ , an Australian start up that focuses mobile ordering applications for the food and restaurant industry

I am currently at the Center for Engineering Education and Outreach at Tufts where I am a graduate student working on an online computer supported collaboration platform. My research interests include computational thinking, imparting education effectively, real time learning analytics and representational programming.
